Refund Policy

Refund and Cancellation Policy

Thank you for registering for an event with Fly Events. We strive to deliver the best watersports and kitesurfing competitions in Egypt. Because our events require extensive logistical planning, booking of venues, and coordination of staff, we have established the following Refund and Cancellation Policy.

By registering for any of our events (including KiteMania, El Gouna Water Sports Festival, etc.) and submitting a payment, you agree to the terms outlined below.

1. Cancellation by the Participant

If you are unable to attend an event you have registered for, your eligibility for a refund depends on how far in advance you cancel.

  • More than [30] days before the event start date: You are eligible for a [100%] refund, minus any non-refundable payment processing fees.

  • Between [15 and 29] days before the event start date: You are eligible for a [50%] refund.

  • Less than [15] days before the event start date: Unfortunately, no refunds will be issued, as logistics and safety provisions will have already been finalized.

  • No-Shows: Participants who do not show up for the event, or who arrive late and miss their heats/registration window, are not eligible for any refund.

2. Ticket Transfers (Name Changes)

If you cannot attend but wish to transfer your registration to another athlete or participant, you may do so free of charge up to [7] days before the event. To transfer a ticket, please email us at info@flyeventseg.com with your original booking details and the new participant’s full name, contact info, and required registration data.

3. Event Cancellation or Postponement by Fly Events

Watersports and kitesurfing are heavily dependent on weather and wind conditions.

  • Weather Delays/Postponements: If an event must be postponed due to unsafe weather, lack of wind, or other force majeure events, your registration will automatically be transferred to the rescheduled dates. If you cannot attend the new dates, you may request a full refund.

  • Complete Cancellation: If Fly Events completely cancels an event and no alternative dates are provided, all registered participants will receive a full 100% refund.

4. Refund Processing & Payment Methods

Depending on how you initially paid for your registration, the refund process and timeline will vary. Please note that any third-party payment gateway fees or bank transaction fees are non-refundable.

A. Online Payments (Credit / Debit Cards)

  • Refunds for online payments will be credited directly back to the original card used for the transaction.

  • We cannot refund online payments to a different card or via cash.

  • Processing Time: Please allow 7 to 14 business days for the funds to appear on your bank statement, depending on your card issuer.

B. Bank Transfers

  • If you paid via a direct bank transfer, we will require your bank account details (Account Name, Account Number, Bank Name, Branch, and IBAN/SWIFT) to process the refund.

  • The bank account provided for the refund must be in the same name as the registered participant or the original sender.

  • Any local or international transfer fees charged by the banks will be deducted from the final refund amount.

  • Processing Time: Please allow 5 to 10 business days once your bank details have been received and confirmed.

C. Local Transfers (InstaPay / Mobile Wallets)

  • If you paid using InstaPay, Vodafone Cash, or another local Egyptian mobile wallet, your refund will be transferred back via the same method.

  • You must provide us with your active InstaPay handle or the mobile wallet number registered under your name.

  • Processing Time: Local transfer refunds are typically the fastest and will be processed within 3 to 5 business days.

5. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund or ticket transfer, please send an email to info@flyeventseg.com containing the following information:

  1. Your Full Name

  2. The Name of the Event (e.g., GWSF Vol. 6)

  3. Your Booking/Registration Reference Number

  4. The Payment Method you used (Online, Bank Transfer, or Local Transfer)

  5. The reason for cancellation

Our team will review your request based on the timeframes listed above and reply with confirmation and the next steps.

6. Currency Fluctuations

All event fees are charged in Egyptian Pounds (EGP) unless stated otherwise. Fly Events is not responsible for any financial loss due to currency exchange rate fluctuations between the time of your original purchase and the time of the refund.
